Rachel joined Haswells on 15th October 2005 after receiving her GCSEs from Castell Alun High School in Hope, near Wrexham.
Rachel went on to study the AAT qualification at Coleg Cambria Wrexham before achieving the ATT qualification at Manchester’s BPP Business School. Rachel has recently qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACCA).
As the Manager of Haswells, Rachel oversees the day to day running of the firm. She is involved in accounts, tax, VAT, CIS and book-keeping and Rachel loves the variety as no two days are the same.
Rachel spends her weekends renovating her home and is passionate about interior design. She also enjoys shopping and spending time with friends and family, especially her young nephew.
Dreaming of becoming an accountant since a young age, Jade joined Haswells on 1st October 2013. She achieved the AAT qualification in October 2016 from Coleg Cambria and has since gone on to study to become a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales).
Jade is an Accounts Senior within the firm whose responsibilities include audit, independent examinations, accounts preparation, VAT and tax. Jade is also responsible for the supervision of trainee accountants at Haswells. Jade particularly enjoys visiting clients and getting to learn more about their business.
Outside work, Jade enjoys spending her time catching up with the latest film releases and is a very enthusiastic DIY-er!
Having previously managed the payroll of a local University, Rebekah joined Haswells on 22nd April 2014.
Rebekah is responsible for the management of the payroll department within Haswells and ensures that all aspects of payroll and pensions are dealt with efficiently in-house. Rebekah enjoys the challenge of meeting each client’s payroll needs and developing processes to reach this goal.
Outside of work, Rebekah enjoys swimming and spending time with her family.
Haswells’ latest recruit and following relocation to Wrexham, Harriet joined Haswells on 1st December 2021. As a Chartered Accountant since 2019, Harriet brings more than five years of practical experience within the accountancy sector.
Responsible for the management of a portfolio of clients from sole traders to limited companies, drawn from the entire cross sector of local trade and industry, Harriet enjoys working within a team to ensure clients are given the best possible service.
Harriet also enjoys meeting clients face to face and is looking forward to building strong relationships over the coming months and years.
Privately, Harriet enjoys spending time with family and is a huge fan of the great outdoors!
With more than 20 years’ experience within the industry, Joanne joined Haswells on 1st June 2020 as an Accounts Senior. Having previously worked for a high street bank before studying accountancy, Joanne has always been keen to help individuals and businesses with their financial affairs.
Joanne qualified with ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in 2011 and enjoys using the knowledge gained from her studies in her day-to-day work.
Joanne’s role includes accounts preparation for limited companies and charities, audit and tax. Joanne enjoys the variety her workload offers and likes working as part of a team.
A keen traveller, Joanne has visited 59 countries across the world with an ever-expanding list of countries on her ‘wish list’, including South Africa, Australia and Namibia!
Ellie joined on 1st February 2021 as a Trainee Accountant. Ellie is in her second year of studying towards her AAT qualification and is thoroughly enjoying her role at Haswells.
Within the office, Ellie is the initial point of contact for all visitors and telephone calls as she currently manages the reception area of the office. Ellie enjoys meeting new clients and is keen to learn new skills in the office as she progresses within her role.
Ellie enjoys spending time with her twin sister, Jess, and is a keen baker - although Ellie admits that it doesn't always go to plan!
Mike joined Haswells as an Accounts Assistant in May 2023. Mike studied Accountancy at Chester University and is now undertaking his Level 5 diploma in web application development alongside working at Haswells.
Mike’s role includes accounts preparation for both sole traders and limited companies, along with the preparation of both corporation and personal tax returns.
Mike enjoys the fast pace of the office along with the problem-solving challenges which often appear whilst preparing financial statements.
Outside of work Mike enjoys rugby, drumming and is a keen marathon runner. He also likes to spend time with his family, friends and godchildren.
